[이뉴스투데이] 이종은 기자 = (주)이상미디어 (대표이사 조원표)는 내년 6월 2일 실시하는 제5회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 입후보예정자와 선거 관련 업체를 대상으로 2010년 2월 26일부터 28일까지 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 '2010 대한민국 선거 박람회'를 개최한다.
다가오는 지방선거는 교육감 및 교육의원 선거도 함께 치러져 입후보예정자만 15,000명 이상이 될 것으로 추정되며 이에 따라 선거비용제한액 총액이 8천억 원이 넘어설 것으로 예상된다.
또한 지방의원 유급화와 여야간 지지율 격차 감소에 따라 후보자간 경쟁이 여느 때보다 치열해질 것으로 점쳐진다.
조원표 대표이사는 “선거의 규모가 커지고 있는 상황에서 선거 관련 사업 역시 보다 투명해지고 선진화될 필요가 있다고 생각했다”며 행사의 취지를 밝혔다.
박람회는 관련 업체를 대상으로 하는 ‘선거산업 전시회’와 입후보예정자를 대상으로 하는 ‘지방선거 컨퍼런스’ 등 2가지 행사로 구성된다.
전시회에는 선거기획, 광고, 홈페이지, 인쇄물, 유세차량, 로고송, 유니폼, 현수막 등 선거 관련 업체들이 대거 입점해 새로운 제품과 서비스를 선보일 예정이다. 컨퍼런스에는 국내 최정상급 정치컨설턴트들이 모여 '득표율 5% 올리는 방법' 등 다양한 승리방법론을 제시한다.
김종근 연합특수기획 대표이사는 “선거산업 전시회 참여를 통해 미래의 고객인 후보자들을 미리 만남으로써 영업기회를 크게 확대할 수 있을 것”이라며 전시회 참가 이유를 밝혔다.
